The crown jewel of the Marqués de la Concordia Family of Wines. Gold Medal and Judges Selection at 2017 Texsom International Wine Awards.
Deep ruby red with great depth in colour
A concentrated bouquet of ripe fruit, dark berries, plums and cedar notes showing intense barrel ageing.
The palate is concentrated, intense, velvety rich with spicy notes, silky tannins and well balanced by firm acidity. Full-bodied with plenty of blackcurrants and oaky spice. The finish is long and elegant.
Will match game, roasts, poultry, and cured cheese dishes particularly well.
Matured in our cellars, from old vine Tempranillo grapes which are grown in the Rioja Alta region. Here the vines grow at 650m above sea level, on nutrient-rich sandstone soil, and enjoy an average temperature of 20°C, and below-average rainfall. An extremely high-quality Rioja Reserva, aged for 24 months in new French and American oak barrels. It spent a further year in bottle and will positively develop with further bottle ageing.

"The mild summer temperatures forced us to selectively collect our grapes. However, those that made the selection were of great quality and at peak maturity, that making fantastically balanced wines with great aromatic complexity."
