Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep dark red with bright reflections.

Nose

Intense and complex with notes of black fruits, spices, scrubland and a racy mineral touch.

Palate

A very nice balance in the mouth, built on tannins with a fine and tight grain. A remarkable length.

"Fleshy dried plum and cherry flavors are forward and fruity in this voluptuous red wine. Firm, slightly tacky tannins lend structure to the midpalate. Enjoy now rather than cellaring to enjoy its exuberant fruit." Anna Lee C Iljima - Contributing Editor Wine Enthusiast

"Red and black fruits, peanuts, spice, lavender and thyme, slight charcoal thing going on. It’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and rolls along with grainy tannin, slight glycerol texture and a wild herb perfume wafts about. Ripe fruit. Savoury finish. Here’s a wine to put a smile on the face of just about every kind of red wine drinker." - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

Producer

The Château des Coccinelles is a reference in the organic wines of the Rhone Valley. This vintage has found its place on the tables of great restaurants in France and abroad for a long time. Located on an old bed of the Rhone, the plateau is rooted in one of the noblest soils of the region where the powerful Mistral sweeps a clay-limestone soil covered with rolled pebbles.
