This wine is made entirely from Petit Verdot sourced from a pioneer single-estate vineyard, first planted in 1992. The grapes are harvested by hand, then fermented separately parcel by parcel in stainless steel followed by 12-18 months of ageing in first and second-fill French barriques. The final wine stands as a delicious testament to the meticulous handling from grape to bottle.
On the palate it shows rich and structured flavors of cassis, espresso, licorice and minerals. The core of the fruit is ripe, vibrant and pure. It has aromas of black cherry and blackcurrant spiced and smoked. Good structure, balanced tannins, excellent depth and beautifully concentrated and with a long finish of texture.
Harvested by hand, with an exhaustive selection of the best bunches both in the field and in the cellar. We work with minimal intervention and sensitive to the unique characteristics of this vineyard. Ageing is carried out for 20 months in new and semi-new French oak barrels.
