This is an ideal wine for fans of big, bold wines and is good with hearty food like fatty steaks and rich sauces!
Jet black red blend with medium intensity and very good brightness.
Complex aromas of plum, boysenberry, blackberry, chocolate and spices.
The sweet and elegant nature of this wine contributes to a modern profile on the palate. It is a mouth-filling palate of bramble and mulberry fruit with herbal tannins with dark chocolate and espresso notes and plenty of length.
The three varieties are vinified separately exactly the same way. The grapes are hand-picked, clusters are then sorted and destemmed for further grain selection. The must is macerated in cold for 3 to 5 days at a temperature from 10°C to 15°C. Then the must is fermented with selected yeast in small stainless steel tanks, with delestages and pressings. Once fermentation is finished, only the Malbec is aged in oak barrels where malolactic fermentation occurs and is then matured for 14 months. Once the ageing is finished and the final blend is done the wine is clarified, filtered and bottled. It is stored at the winery for at least 6 months before market release.

This wine was the first blend of the winery based on the flagship Argentinean variety, trying to show the potential of Malbec. This blend of Tannat, that provides structure, and Petit Verdot, which adds complexity, define an intense, modern and elegant wine. Fresh red fruit, floral and spicy notes stand out, while the fresh acidity and soft tannins in the mouth, also typical of the time of the year, add brightness, texture and a long finish.

"85% Malbec, 10% Tannat, 5% Petit Verdot. The Malbec vines are over 90 years old, the rest 30 years old. One of the first high-end blends. An old Luján producer who still operates out of a vast, historic winery in the town. Rich and sweet, rather in the old mold with quite a bit of oak and a warm finish. Grainy finish."
