It is in Vouvray that we have discovered the first vines in the Loire Valley planted by monks in Year 400. Honore de Balzac, well-know writer, was born in Tours in 1799 and he is the author of many chapters about wine “Wine has nourished my body while coffee kept my mind”, was deeply in love with the wines of Vouvray.
Golden yellow colour.
Intense nose of fresh fruits (citrus fruits, white fruits), dried fruit (almond) and acacia.
Round and rich with natural concentration and sweetness on the finish with a slight acidity.
"All Chenin Blanc and all good! Vibrant and very fresh with a medium body and flavors and tones of orange rind and honeyed grapefruit with just a slight sparkle that makes it a good match with semi-soft white cheeses and sponge cake with fresh strawberries." Winemaker's Notes
