There are gooseberry and Guava aromas that dominate the nose leading to rich stone fruit flavours on the palate. This is balanced by mouth-watering acidity.
Puzzle Bay is made by award winning and ex-Cloudy Bay winemaker, Alan McCorkindale. Selected parcels of fruit from various sites across the region combine to make this text book Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
There is a splash of Riesling and hint of Chardonnay alongside the Sauvignon Blanc. These tiny, subtle additions add weight and nuance. The overall result is vivacious, fresh and fruity.
