The Soave Val dei Molini is made from grapes whose vines thrive on the rolling hills around the village of Soave. The predominantly clay-rich basalt soils of volcanic origin form an ideal basis for this world-famous Italian white wine.
A delicate straw yellow
Fine, delicate, notes of meadow flowers, chamomile, elder and iris.
Fine, fruity, with sweet almonds on the finish. Excellent as an aperitif.
Cantina di Custoza was founded in 1968 and today uses grapes from over 1000 hectares of south-facing vineyards, located on the hills and foothills south and southwest of Lake Garda.
Founded by 83 winemakers, the Cantina di Custoza can now rely on grapes from 227 winemakers, which together manage about 1,000 hectares of vineyards around the southern tip of Lake Garda west of Verona. Here lies the heartland of the DOC Custoza area, which, thanks to its proximity to Lake Garda, benefits from a unique microclimate. Also a wonderful holiday destination with an incredibly beautiful landscape.
The terrains are glacial moraines composed primarily of limestone, gravel and sand. The climate is mild and temperate. The fresh and fruity 'Classici' range offers great 'food' wines, whilst the 'Val dei Molini' range takes its name from one of the most charming valleys in the Veneto and is part of the Cantina's ongoing 'quality project'.
The range is completed with the premium 'Custodia' selection: the name comes from Custoza's ancient name as custodian of the territory.
- Cantina di Custoza was voted the best producer in the Veneto region at Vinitaly 2010.
