Producer
Domaine Les Ors Chardonnay comes from Limoux. The vineyards of AOP Limoux can be found between Carcassonne and the Pyrenees. This is one of the oldest wine regions in France and, incidentally, also an area that produces great wines.
The vineyards are located in Saint Hilaire which is blessed with a Mediterranean climate. The diversity of soil of lime, pebbles and clay provides complexity in the wines.
This full-bodied white consists of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Mauzac grapes which are picked by hand when fully ripe. The fermentation and maturation take place in oak barrels, which is unique. This wine matures for about nine to ten months in oak barrels, one-third of which is new oak.
