Tasting Notes
Colour
A wonderful garnet-red to a brilliant crimson robe.
Nose
The wine has a very fruity bouquet (red fruits, blackcurrant...) with aromas of red fruit jam.
Palate
A balanced wine with silky tannins and a superb long finish.

Origin
The Vin de Pays d'Oc wine-growing region is omnipresent in Languedoc. It covers the area from the South of the Côtes du Rhône all the way to Carcassone.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at perfect maturity, destemmed, crushed and fermented for 6 to 12 days. The fermentation temperature is regulated so as not to go above 32°C. The wine is then quickly racked, filtered and bottled.
Soil
The largest wine-growing region in the world is established on a host of terroirs: clay-limestone, gravel, and schist soils.
Alan's Personal Tasting Notes
"This has got to be one of the softest, smoothest, easy-drinking reds on our website. Classic merlot - loads of fruit but no structure or complexity. Fildefere is definitely a great wee range of fabulous value, crowd-pleasing wines - all a snip at £8.50". October 2021
