This Schiefer Steillage Riesling teases the tongue with its zingy citrus fruit, crisp green apple flavours, and a long appealing finish.
The steep slopes (Steillage) in the Mosel Valley are at the optimum angle to catch the sun all day while the mirror-effect of the Mosel River and the slate (Schiefer) soils also give heat to the vines to ensure that the grapes achieve ripeness in this cool climate region.
The grapes are pressed gently and the juice cold fermented with selected yeasts at 16-18°C in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation. No oak.
As one of the largest and most modern wineries in Germany, Reh Kendermann has a reputation for producing high-quality, premium wines.
