Tasting Notes

Pale, golden yellow, clean and bright. On the nose, it has a fine and intense aroma, typical of biological ageing. Among others, those of toasted almond, citrus peel and chamomile stand out.

On the palate, it is light, dry and very soft on the palate. It stands out for its length and its smoothness.

Wine Making

This wine is biologically aged under layer of flor, using native yeast selected over the years. This Manzanilla is aged about 7 years by the traditional “Criaderas & Solera” system and is made of 100 percent Palomino variety grapes. It is aged in American oak casks restored over the course of the winery´s 100 plus year history. It is available in bottles of 37.5 and 75 cl and is 15% alcohol by volume.

Delgado Zuleta is the oldest family-owned winery in the Sherry district maturing Manzanilla Sherry and “Tierra de Cádiz” still white wines.

Since its foundation in 1744 the bodega has maintained a commitment to quality by being at the cutting edge of Sherry winemaking. This is reflected by the ongoing modernisation of its facilities coupled with an expert team that is respectful of our heritage and dedicated to the future.

The yearly production is around 350.000 bottles, 90 percent of which is Manzanilla.

Flagship, one of the better-positioned Manzanillas worldwide. Impecable, versatile and always appealing. It got its name in 1918 when Mañanos Jauffré better known as “la Goya,” a famous copla singer and dancer of the era, leant her name to the wine.
