Appearance 

Deep amber with golden hues, reflecting its long maturation.

Nose

Rich and complex, offering notes of baked apples, honey, vanilla, and floral undertones with a whisper of citrus and subtle smoke.

Palate 

Smooth and full-bodied, delivering layers of fruity sweetness, warm spices, honey, and a touch of chocolate, balanced by a gentle smokiness.  Finishing with a long and lingering, with hints of oak, spice, and honey, leaving a refined and memorable impression!

Originally crafted in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, this exceptional whisky is presented in a striking sapphire porcelain flagon, embodying elegance and tradition.

Distillation

Crafted using traditional Scotch whisky distillation methods to achieve its refined character. Carefully selected malted barley is mashed and fermented before undergoing double distillation in copper pot stills, enhancing purity and depth. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of 21 years in high-quality oak casks, allowing it to develop rich complexity and smoothness. The final blend is expertly curated by Chivas Brothers’ master blenders, combining rare whiskies from various distilleries—such as Strathisla—to achieve a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, honey, and gentle smoke, culminating in a truly elegant whisky.

History

Whisky has a rich history, dating back to 1953, when it was created to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. Named after the 21-gun salute, a ceremonial tribute for royal occasions, this whisky was designed as a luxurious blend using rare and aged Scotch whiskies, all matured for at least 21 years.

Crafted at the Strathisla Distillery, the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands, Royal Salute has remained a symbol of prestige and tradition. Over the years, it has marked significant royal milestones and collaborated with renowned figures, including British fashion designer Richard Quinn, to celebrate British heritage
