Louis Bio Cremant de Loire Brut Rose NV

are at the heart of a gathering.
Tasting Notes
The nose is precise and clearly dominated by the freshness of peach enhanced by raspberry. A surprising alliance, with the Chenin bringing a welcome freshness to the depth of the Cabernet.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and processed using a pneumatic press in whole bunches, followed by juice fractionation. The pure cuvée is then selected, and cold static sludge removal is carried out. Selected yeasts are used for alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures, with grape varieties fermented separately. The wine is grown on full lees until December, when the first racking is done without sulfites. Blend tasting takes place in December, and bottling occurs from January to June.
Producer
Over 150 years of History! Founded in 1859, this independent and family run Maison Louis de Grenelle has passed down its expertise through the generations. It continues the tradition of making sparkling wines in the depths of its cellars burrowed underneath Saumur in the heart of the Valley of Kings, the Val de Loire.

It is knowledge, acquired through seasons spent in the vineyard, that allow the wine-maker to produce great wine, he muses."
Tasting Notes
Aromas of lemons and citrus fruit with a hint of stony minerality. Round smooth mouthfeel with apple and lemon flavours. The finish is lively with well balanced acidity. All in all a classy glass of Chardonnay.

Production
The Fuissé region in the south of Burgundy is 250-300 metres above sea level. The soil there is predominantly argilo-calcareous. At Fussiacus the average vine age is 25 years so that the plants are in balance and at their peak of production. The techniques are those of organic farming albeit not certified. The harvest here is by hand.
This Mâcon-Fuissé is made in the traditional Burgundy style, with entirely manual grape harvesting. The grapes are gently pressed using a pneumatic press. The must is then fermented in 100% thermo regulated stainless steel tanks using only natural yeast. The wine goes through malolactic fermentation prior to bottling.
Producer

Passion is not enough, so says Jean-Paul Paquet owner of Domaine de Fussiacus. It is knowledge, acquired through seasons spent in the vineyard, that allow the wine-maker to produce great wine, he muses. With this philosophy Jean-Paul manages his 11 hecatres in southern Burgundy nestled in the heart of the Mâconnais, south-west of Macon, creating wines enhanced by his vast experience. Through the generosity of the terroir, his wines reveal typicity, finesse and elegance.

2022 Bodegas Altolandon, Dulce Enero Ice Wine (50cl.)
Regular price £24.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Tasting Notes
This golden, almost amber coloured wine has a very intense, appealing nose of sweet tropical fruits, peach, apricot, citrus fruits and some spice. The palate is packed full of white fleshed and stone fruits, with the medium body ending with a long sweet finish, supported by crisp acidity. Clean and fresh, very mineral, hints of honey and plenty of persistence.

Producer
Owner & winemaker, Rosalia Molina, makes organic wines in one of Spain's highest altitude wineries. Her mission is to make wines that express the typicity of DO Manchuela: the vineyard, the altitude and the varieties planted.
This is a climate on the edge of what is possible: at 1,100 metres above sea level, the grapes experience a large diurnal range that encourages even ripening and helps to retain natural acidity. Rosalia's vineyards are certified organic, she uses only natural fertilisers, promoting biodiversity by welcoming chickens, sheep and pigs from local farms to roam the vineyards freely. Grapes are hand harvested and vinified as naturally as possible with native yeasts and little other intervention. The wines are then aged in clay amphora and some in French oak to give texture and complexity.
Winemaking
Harvested in January, when the grapes have frozen due to temperatures remaining below minus five degrees for at least five days but never below minus 13 degrees. These weather conditions mark the beginning of the harvest, which is why it is only produced in exceptional years. A manual harvest of frozen but healthy grapes without any trace of rotting are quickly pressed in the same vineyard as the grape, with the ice crystals still in the grape causing s a high concentration of sugars in the must and plenty of acidity. Due to the dehydration, this improves the extraction of aromatic components.
As the water is first to freeze within the grape, an increased concentration of sugars are obtained from the must. The grapes must be pressed before the ice crystals break down. The yeasts for fermentation are native, providing much of the character and personality of the terroir. Fermentation is a very slow process, it can take 2 to 3 months and is carried out in small stainless steel tanks to provide a completely natural wine, with no added sulphites and the stabilisation and clarification are also a natural sedimentation process.

Tasting Notes
Dry white natural wine from Muscat Ottonel grapes. The color is light golden. Fruity aroma of wine with pronounced hints of citrus, peach and pineapple. Wine with an excellent balance of acidity, rounded, harmonious.

History
The Frumushika-Nova family winery was established in the summer of 2006 when Oleksandr Palariev started building the Center of Green Tourism, Ethnography and Family Vacation on the ancestor's land. Nowadays, a family winery has 10 hectares of vineyards, whereas a modern winery produces about 35K bottles of wine using organic techniques.
Frumushika-Nova is more than wine. Today, this is a family recreation centre with the "Bessarabian village of Frumushyka-Nova" where visitors can get acquainted with the national courtyards of the 19th-20th centuries, with the unique culture of the Ukrainian, Moldavian, and Bulgarian, Gagauz, German, Jewish peoples. History
About Kolonist winery Colonists come to Bessarabia
Ukrainian Danube Bessarabia, located in the south of Odesa region, is a region with a rich history, Mediterranean climate and a unique demographic composition of the population. The region is called the interfluve because it is located between the two rivers Danube and the Dniester and is washed by the warm waters of the Black Sea. The Thracian kingdom in Ancient Greece, Mysia during the time of the Roman and the Byzantine Empire, the Ongle during the time of Great Bulgaria, the Ottoman and Russian Empires - and this is not a complete list of names and states present at different times on these blessed lands. Even today you can see the Trojan Shafts - the borders of the Roman Empire, built by the emperor Troyan. The history of the colonists in the lands of Bessarabia begins in the second half of the 18th century, when immigrants come to these lands, scorched by the sun, where nomadic Nogai tribes lived before. Germans, French, Greeks, Bulgarians, Gagauz, Albanians and representatives of many other peoples settled on these lands, having received privileges and advantages. In a very short time, this region from a scorched steppe turned into a blooming garden. Bulgarians came here fleeing the Ottoman yoke in order to preserve their faith, language and history, traditions and culture. The Plachkov family comes here along with other Bulgarian immigrants from northern Macedonia, where they lived at the foot of the Plachkovitsa mountain range. According to legend, the widow of perished who died at the hands of a Janissary in the fight for freedom of the haiduc with three young sons secretly crossed the Danube and settled in the village of Cheshma-Varuita (the first name of the Krynychne village), which is located on the shore of the largest lake in Ukraine - Yalpug - “Radiant Valley”ю
At the very beginning of the 19th-century serfdom still existed. But the Bulgarians, thanks to the guardianship of the Governor of Bessarabia, Ivan Nikitich Inzov, receive the status of free citizens - at that time “the status of the Colonists”. Colonists receive free education and medicine, land units, and are exempted from taxes for years.
Bulgarians colonists preserved and passed on to generations of Thracian skill winemakers, gardening, grow wheat, sheep grazed the unique ancient breed that cherish to this day.

2020 Kolonist Bisser Brut White Aged Sparkling Wine
Regular price £29.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%A perfect aperitif when you are needing a little sparkle!
Tasting Notes
This wine has refreshing and crisp taste with sweet aftertaste. Subtle aroma of wine has notes of brioche and butter, cream and vanilla, toasted bread crusts.

Production
The wine is made by the classical method of champagnization (méthode traditionnelle) with ageing sur lie in bottles no less than 1,5 years. Bisser – Blanc de Blancs – is a classical brut from Chardonnay grapes from Kolonist vineyards. Degorgage is made manually.
History
The Ukrainian family winery of the Plachkov family has always been distinguished by diligence and thoroughness in the approach to the production of its wines. The search for new technologies and the use of the most modern equipment for production, control of all technological processes - this is the long-term success of "Kolonist" - the brightest representative of the wine industry of Ukraine.
And in the case of the creation of the brut "Bisser", Ivan Plachkov chose a non-standard approach for himself - not in theory, but in practice to gain knowledge and experience in the production of sparkling wines. In 2013, Ivan Vasilyevich went to England, Kent (the birthplace of the production of sparkling wines of royal standards). In the small town of Tenterdem, the owner of the Kolonist winery, Ivan Plachkov, got a job as a simple worker. For what? In order to personally study the full cycle of production of sparkling wines according to European standards. Only a few wineries can reveal the secret of the production of their wines, because small technological secrets are the key to the production of unique wines of their own brand. In Tenterdem, Ivan Vasilyevich participated in setting up the bottling line, prepared diatomaceous earth for the diatomaceous earth filtration process, carried out filtration, monitored the bottling, and also performed disgorgement and corking. In a word, he personally went through the process of creating sparkling wine.

Over the last two decades we’ve been creating wines in the wilds of southern France
Embarking on adventures; exploring, discovering and rediscovering remarkable places and vineyard sites. From the foothills and valleys beneath the iconic Pyrénées, out through the gorges to the coastal areas of the Mediterranean. We’ve journeyed with our friends and exceptional growers, who excel at their craft and have an inherent respect for the land that they and theirs are a part of. It is these people and places that inspire our winemaking. The wines of Terres Fidèles are designed to express the spirit of this extraordinary place, old vine Grenache, Carignan, Malbec, Cinsault, Viognier and more, that are authentically crafted, small batch wines of the wilds.
Production
Montsablé Réserve represents the pinnacle of site selection within the Haute Vallée de l’Aude, the coolest of all the Mediterranean regions of France due to altitude and influence of the cool Atlantic wind, the Vent Cers. Altitude, climate and limestone rich soils combine to produce outstanding fruit, with which we create wines of elegance and freshness. The specific Haute Vallée sites are perfect for Chardonnay due to slower ripening and better levels of acidity. The vines are 20-30 years old and grow on Argilo Calcaires soils.
The wine is left on its lees to add complexity of flavour, texture and weight whilst retaining refreshing ripe fruit character. Critically, 30% of the wine is aged in French wood for 6 months adding further creamy complexity.

Maison Antech, Crémant De Limoux, Cuvée Françoise
Regular price £19.25 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%This Cuvee, named after Francoise, honors the strong character of the family's sixth-generation daughter. It celebrates her role in guarding her heritage and shaping their future.
Tasting Notes
Vibrant greengage and white flower aromas combine with a hint of lemon curd, giving the wine a fresh, vibrant appeal. These are reflected on the palate with an additional mineral character, finely structured acidity, and persistent bubbles elevating the components.
Producer
For over five centuries, Maison Antech has tamed the magical terroir of Limoux to make fine sparkling wines.
The secret of their character lies in the combination of Limoux's three terroirs, which form the backbone of the cuvées: freshness from the Pyrenees, vinousness from the ocean, and roundness from the Mediterranean. From these terroirs, Mauzac and other grapes are cultivated, each bringing their own complexity and purity to the wines. This Cuvee, named after Francoise, daughter of the family and a member of the sixth generation celebrates her strong character and the part she plays in guarding her heritage and shaping their future.
Production
Grapes are handpicked and go directly into the press. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. The various parcels are then blended and the wine goes into bottle for secondary fermentation, where it ages on the lees for at least 30 months. Finally, a dosage is added using reserve wine to balance the wine.

History
Winemaker’s profession isn’t new in Dakishvili Family. Wine knowledge was collected by several generations and kept for their sons and grandsons.
Gogi’s great great grandfather was a priest in the church. He was one of the first in the family who started winemaking because of Christian motives. As we know Orthodox use wine as a blood of Christ during Mesas. However, Gogi’s grandfather was killed because of Christian belief during Soviet times in 1929.
Gogi’s grandfather couldn’t continue family’s winemaking traditions, because he died very young at the age of 27 during Second World War.
However Gogi’s father became Oenologists and graduated winemaking school. Gogi also followed his ancestor’s steps and got proper education in Russia. Wine passion was so strong that he found his love in oenological faculty. Both Gogi and his wife are oenologists.
The new generation. Gogi has 3 children: Temuri – elder son is winemaker in Teliani valley, and consults several cellars as well. David , who is only 14 is so interested in wine, that in his age he already assists Gogi during winemaking process. Gogi’s daughter became doctor; however she is a huge fan of wine.
Also that Gogi’s second grandfather from mothers side was famous Qvevri master.
Traditions and century old experience makes Dakishvili wines excellent.

Yellow in color, with delicate aromas of citrus fruits and minerals. Full body, balanced acidity, and long aftertaste.

Estate Argyros is a single varietal wine from our heritage grape. The 80% ferments separately in stainless steel vats, while the other 20% ferments and ages for 6 months in French oak barrels. The discrete touch of the wood highlights the earthy characteristics of the Assyrtiko grape.
History
Estate Argyros has been established in 1903, but the Argyros family has been involved in wine production for decades before that. Since the beginning, there has been a focus on both wine making and vine growing, through a deep understanding that great grapes are always a prerequisite for great wines. Vintage
Harvest 2023 came early and was challengingyet of great quality. The temperate and very d late led to excellent health and quality of the grapes. It is a year defined by low average of 25% below, a consequence of a frost in the spring of 2022. A deep understanding of each parcel allowed us to precisely define the harvest time for each area, always in search of freshness and expression of our place. This year's wines show great purity and sharpness, vibrant acidity and fantastic complexity of scents.
History
It was the year 2002 when a group of friends decided to invest in Argentina. They knew little about wine production, but all were passionate wine lovers and excited about the vision of bringing Argentine wines to the world stage. They bought the land that would become Finca Ambrosia and set about turning their idea into reality. At this time, the Gualtallary district began to attract the interest of wine producers, primarily because of its outstanding soil and climate characteristics. Encouraged by the positive forecasts, the friends bought 3 more plots over the years, from which the current winery emerged. Today, Gualtallary is considered the best terroir for producing premium wines in the province of Mendoza.

821 refers to the minimum total number of days necessary to produce this wine from the beginning of the growing season to the moment the bottle leaves the cellar.
Producer
Laroche is a famous name in Chablis, with family history dating as far back as 1695. Michel Laroche is the patriarch of the family and after decades as the director of Domaine Laroche, he decided in 2010 to sell his stake in the business and set up a smaller domaine, named after his father Henri. Michel had been leasing his private vineyards to the Laroche brand for many years and these vineyards now form the core of the D’Henri range, including the 1er Cru Fourchaume vineyard where the oldest parcel was planted in 1937.The domaine follows organic practices and they have undertaken studies of their vineyards with the help of renowned soil specialist Claude Bourguignon, adapting techniques to different soils to help fully express the qualities of each site. Any new plantings are done using cuttings from the oldest vines in Fourchaume. Vinification is done on a parcel by parcel basis and with minimal intervention, the focus being on expressing the aromatic intensity of each parcel. The grapes are carefully whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, followed by long lees ageing. Michel is a fan of freshness with only some of the wines undergoing partial malolactic fermentation, while oak is used sparingly and more as a seasoning. The result is a creamy, round and savoury style with tension and chalky minerality running through.

Committed to organic viticulture that respects the living, we seek through our wines to express with finesse the richness and complexity of our terroirs.
It is on the small hill of the village of Zellenberg that the Jean Becker estate has been making renowned wines for more than 400 years.
Established in Zellenberg since 1610, the Becker family is one of the oldest families in the Alsatian vineyards. The work of the vine is passed on with respect for previous and future generations.
Around 1980, aware of the richness and fragility of their exceptional wine heritage, Martine, Jean-Philippe and Jean-François took the step towards sustainable and reasoned agriculture.
In 1999, convinced of the importance of their efforts for the vine, the wine and the living, they decided to convert the entire farm to organic farming, despite the warnings of many colleagues.
Since then, exalted by the idea of progress, the siblings have continued to take on new challenges in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. Today, our practices are bringing us closer and closer to those of biodynamics. We are experimenting with new winemaking techniques in order to contribute to the provision of a new look at the wines of Alsace.

2014 Pegasus Bay Aged Release Riesling
Regular price £37.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%
A delicious example of Riesling!
Tasting Notes
The abundant aromas and flavours suggest white fleshed peaches, nectarines and citrus flowers and fruits, especially those of oranges, mandarins and limes. There are supporting hints jasmine and lychees. It is concentrated and mouth filling but yet elegant and poised with a core of tangy minerality and acidity that balance its off-dry finish and help draw out the lingering aftertaste.

The Season
A mild spring, a warm summer and an early autumn produced beautifully ripe fruit. Rain in the late autumn encouraged a portion of beautiful noble botrytis in the grapes, giving this wine extra richness and concentration while still allowing it to clearly express its spectrum of beautiful varietal flavours.
The Vineyard & The Vines
The outcrop of land on which these grapes were grown consists largely of weathered stones and mineral rich gravels. These were shorn off New Zealand’s Southern Alps by an ice-age glacier, which carried them down the valleys and deposited them in selected sites. The vineyard has warm days, but the nights are amongst the coolest in the Waipara Valley, which helps draw out the ripening period and retain good natural acidity. This individual terroir is especially suited to Riesling.
Harvest & Wine Making
After picking during May, the grapes were gently pressed. The juice was then fermented slowly at cool temperatures to help the wine retain its vibrant fruit characters and varietal purity. At all stages, from fermentation to bottling, it was handled very carefully to help it retain a little of its natural carbon dioxide. This provides additional crispness and may result in a small amount of spritzig when first poured.

Nose
The nose is a delicate mélange of quince, poire william and a hint of vanilla.
Palate
A complex and structured wine, with elegant but discreet fruit flavours of stone fruits, backed up with a powerful tannin structure and long finish.

Production
Refreshing like a white wine, with the complexity of red wine. This orange wine is made by leaving the grape skins and seeds in contact with the pressed juice, creating a deep orange-hued finish. The wine ferments naturally without the addition of yeasts, sulphur or any other additions. The different varieties are then blended and before a natural cold stabilisation, and bottled unfiltered and unfined.
Producer
Back in 1988, three families decided to invest in a winery in Romania, starting with 650 hectares of slightly unloved vineyards and a rusty, once state-owned winery.
Yet Englishman Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira, have turned the Cramele Recas Estate into the most successful winery in Romania. Recas are now recognised globally for their impressive scale and breadth of fascinating wines, including natural and orange wine from organic grapes. Despite the scale the emphasis is on making good wines that over-deliver, and as a result they’ve struck on a magic formula that has seen sales and demand boom. Vineyards are a combination of evolved plantings from 1447 and more recent planting, whilst the winery has seen significant investment and boasts state of the art facilities where innovation thrives. Recas are in every way a modern, dynamic winery, whose open minded approach and quality sets them apart … a winery you really can’t ignore.

This fruity and well balanced white is typical of the South of France styles.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Pale lemon yellow. Blending floral notes on the nose, with fresh pear, lime and green apple.
Palate
A fresh, crisp medium-bodied white, creamy in texture. Ample acidity in the lingering finish.

Production
The grapes are harvested early in the season. After a gentle pneumatic pressing, with extraction of the premium juices only, the juice is clarified prior to fermentation. The temperature controlled fermentation (16 to 18°C) occurs in stainless steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation is stopped to preserve the freshness in the wine. The resulting wine is aged for 4 months on its fine lees with regular stirring before bottling.
Viticulture
Vermentino is a late ripening Mediterranean grape variety, well-suited to hot, sunny and dry climatic conditions. To craft this distinctive and beautifully balanced white, our winemakers have selected rough terroirs located in the Eastern part of the Pays d’Oc appellation. There, the vines are widely sun-exposed and tempered by cooling sea breezes.

Regular price £11.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Tasting Notes
This has a characteristic straw colour. Its intense bouquet is aromatic and shows golden apple, pineapple and honey aromas. To the palate it is fresh and fragrant, as sweetness and acidity are properly balanced. The fine mousse makes it slightly creamy, with an elegant and persistent finish.

The Production
After being left with skins for a few hours at low temperature, the must is separated. After clarification and a first filtering, the must is left to macerate at low temperature in small stainless steel autoclaves. During fermentation the foam is removed. To stop fermentation, the must is cooled and before bottling it undergoes micro filtering again. Bottling is carried out in November, two months after harvest.
Producer
Piedmont is almost as famous for truffles as it is wine, those elusive delectable delights that need to be rooted out from the depths of the forest, so scarce but so worth it. Much the same can be said for.....
Olim Bauda, secluded and out of the way, down a long drive off the busy Via Prata, the path gently meanders continuously rising to finally reveal the family home through a grove of trees, or if you arrive in truffle season, more likely through a rolling mist. The estate is run by three siblings, Dino, Diana and Gianni who have devoted themselves to creating fresh, expressive Barbera d’Asti and clean, pure scintillating Gavi in the most delicate low interventionist way and without doubt they are worth all the trouble you might encounter to enjoy them.
Sustainability
Working organically in the vineyards since 2019 with the aim of certified organic wines for the 2022 vintage. Sustainable agricultural practices, following the rules for integrated farming which prohibit the use of herbicides. Regular price £15.49 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Tasting Notes
100% Chenin Blanc, this has a distinctive yellow apple and pineapple core, alongside notes of green melon and limes. The wine is bursting with fresh fruit flavours ending with zesty citrus flavours, and has a long mineral finish. A very clean and satisfying hand-picked Chenin Blanc that's a versatile wine for food pairing.

Producer
After making wine around the world and honing his craft in the Cape, Bruwer Raats established Raats Family Wines in 2000, based on a policy of ‘excellence through specialisation’, focusing on two unfashionable grapes varieties at the time, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc.Purchasing the only land he could afford, some relatively cheap and ‘undesirable’ plots in the Polkadraai Hills, it soon became apparent that the unique granite-based terroir was producing some incredible wines, and is now recognised as one of the finest wards in Stellenbosch. His Eden High Density Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, and the iconic MR de Compostella hold a place as some of South Africa’s finest wines and sit comfortably amongst the best expressions of the varieties on the planet.
Production
From vineyards with an average age of 35 years. Vines are grown in both decomposed granite and Table Mountain sandstone soils. A combination of trellised and bush vines, irrigated as well as dry land that yield approximately 7 – 8 tons per hectare.
Grapes grown from the two soil types are fermented separately, the decomposed granite bringing a lime and mineral character, while the sandstone more topical fruit and structure. The juice was cold settled for 2 to 3 days, then cold fermented (14º - 16ºC) in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for 6 months before bottling. No wood ageing.

Viticulture
Gascony is both wild and beautiful all at the same time... With its rolling countryside dotted with maritime pine and cypress trees, its luxurious vineyards and medieval hilltop towns, the area is one of the most preserved French treasures. Home to viticulture since Roman times, the IGP Côtes de Gascogne shares the same area of production as the Armagnac appellation. Gascony is also famous for its rich gastronomy and its “douceur de vivre” or easy-living atmosphere. The Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are predominantly produced in the Côte de Gascogne area of the South-West of France. The region has a fantastic reputation for fresh white wines. Capable of adapting to the hot climate, it provides nice acidity with lovely flavours. The resulting wines are crisp and fresh, with very intense aromas of lime, nectarine and grapefruit.
Production
The winemaking process is designed to preserve freshness and to enhance the aromatic potential of the wine. The berries are harvested at night, when temperatures are low, as soon as they have reached optimal maturity. The crop is then pneumatically pressed in order to extract only the premium juices. The fermentation process is carried out at a low temperature to preserve aromatic intensity. All these steps create a fragrant and refreshing white wine!

Producer
Created using the traditional varieties of Ugni Blanc and Colombard by Chief Winemaker Frédéric Garrabou. Gascogny in the southwest of France covers a large area between Bordeaux and the Spanish border. It is also home to some of France’s oldest vineyards. An area of stunning scenery, medieval architecture and a strong gastronomic tradition. Wines of the region are often classified as IGP Cotes de Gascogne, yet in this instance ‘La Caisse’ is under the broader designation of Vin de France, which offers more flexibility in terms of permitted grape varieties and geographical limits.
Production
The grapes are harvested separately early in the season, preserving the freshness of the berries. Prior fermentation, the grapes undergo a cold maceration to extract primary aromas. After a gentle pressing, the must is cold settled meticulously. The fermentation is then led at a cool controlled temperature (16/18°C). After clarification, the wine is blended and aged for five months on its fine lees, increasing the smoothness of the texture.

2022 Finca Ambrosía Blanc de Blanc Brut Nature
Regular price £21.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%This is our creative approach to prove that it is possible to produce amazing traditional sparkling wines in Gualtallary
Tasting Notes
This wine dazzles with its bright and lively acidity, offering a refreshing blend of citrus and ripe apple flavors. A delicate yet intricate bouquet of floral and mineral notes adds to its complexity. The fine, persistent mousse accentuates the wine's crisp acidity and leads to a prolonged finish, graced with hints of brioche and almond.
Producer
Finca Ambrosia is the story of Argentinian’s wine revolution over the last 20 years where it has moved from big Malbecs to terroir driven fine wines. This revolution started 100kms south of Mendoza City in the Uco Valley, which is only 70km long and 40kms wide. The Andes give the Uco Valley its 2 critical attributes: alluvial soils with high quality and varied terroir and altitude which is unique to Argentina, enabling good acidity and luxurious tannins.
The friends bought land at 1250m in the sub-district of Gualtallary in the Uco Valley’s northern district of Tupungato. At the time the only neighbours were Moët & Chandon and Zapata Catena’s now world-famous Adrianna vineyard. Gualtallary’s terroir has a limestone concentration giving its wines minerality and is considered one of South America’s top terroirs for premium wines.
Finca Ambrosia produces the highest quality malbec, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and cabernet franc gapes from its 59ha and is 1 of only 3 artisanal producers in Gualtallary.
Since first harvest, Finca Ambrosia’s high-quality fruit was in demand from Argentina’s top wineries such as and Trapiche, Altos Los Hormegas and Vina Cobos. In 2010 renowned Argentinian winemaker Daniel Pi was engaged to make wine for the owners, paying him with bottles of the wine. One such bottle came to the attention of Robert Parker in 2012 who awarded it 95 points – an outstanding score for a first vintage!
Daniel Pi remains a key member of the team which has also been supported by Chile’s famous ‘terroirista’ Pedro Parra. Finca Ambrosia now has its own brand and style of interpretation of Gualtallary’s terroir. It has a growing reputation in Argentina and internationally where the soil, natural environment and team’s artisanal work are seen in its wine’s freshness, elegance and fruit purity.
Vintage
2022 was a long and dry growing season of outstanding quality. Veering on the cooler side of average temperatures, yields were still plentiful, and grapes achieved ideal ripeness throughout a very long cycle. Rainfall was limited, but abundant glacial water and sporadic showers were timed perfectly to help the vine’s balance. After cooler autumn and ideal growing conditions in February and March, they were able to produce
wines with remarkable quality.
Viticulture
Soil: Limestone atop quaternary gravels and sand, shaped by wind erosion. Fermentation Vessel: Initial fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, succeeded by a traditional secondary fermentation in the bottle. Ageing: Matured on lees for a period of 12 months.

2024 Iona Monipole, Elgin Highlands Sauvignon Blanc
Regular price £14.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%An elegant, well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc - Iona's Wine Making Philosophy - 'The Winemaker is the Custodian of the fruit'
Tasting Notes
Beautiful purity of limes and ripe gooseberry, with tropical, floral and fine herbal notes, ruby grapefruit and white pear drop on the finish. This is cool climate Sauvignon Blanc – vibrant, mineral, elegant, balanced and delicate, with a long, layered and complex finish.

Producer
At 420m above sea-level, set high above the picturesque Elgin Valley Andrew Gunn founded Iona. It is here overlooking the Atlantic ocean that he has secured some of the coolest vineyards in the Cape. In a country where cool climate vineyards are like gold dust, these vineyards are veritable nuggets. There is an extremely long growing season, allowing Andrew to create wines with complex flavours and a fresh, elegant style. The approach is hands off and the land is farmed according to organic and biodynamic practices with a particular focus on ensuring the health of the soils whilst pests are kept under control by the resident flock of geese that roam the vineyards.
Production
"We aim for elegance, balance and to express the unique terroir of the Elgin Highlands. Grapes were hand-picked into crates early in the morning to ensure that the grapes stayed cool. Each of the 9 blocks are harvested and vinified separately. After gentle pressing, the must was settled, maintaining a temperature of 6-8°C. Fermentation occurred at 14-16°C, using different commercial yeast strains particularly suited to Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was kept on the gross lees for 5 months and stirred regularly to enhance the richness of the mid-palate. The Sémillon component was fermented naturally in 2nd and 3rd fill 500L French oak barrels to enhance the mid palate weight and to add complexity to the wine. A selection of different Sauvignon Blanc vineyard sites were naturally fermented in 500L French oak barrels. The barrel fermentation component made up 4% of the final blend.

2021 MA'D Moser MM5 Furmint Dry, Tokaj
Regular price £27.49 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Today marks the dawn of a new epoch, with Mád Moser at the helm, ushering in a 'new' grape onto the global stage. This initiative is set to revolutionize the wine industry, sparking a fresh enthusiasm, generating excitement, and allowing the distinguished quality of dry Furmint to carve out its own distinct niche.
Tasting Notes
This zesty dry Furmint leads the way with aromas of citrus fruits, jasmine and freshly cut pineapple. It has delightful flavours of apple, peach and quince with a nice amount of heft on the palate. There’s a great deal of minerality and the finish is creamy at the same time. Well balanced with a crisp, clean long finish.

Producer
Robert Mondavi said ‘a vision always comes first’....
... and in 2022, the vision became reality with the collaboration between Lenz Moser, Rita Takaro, Karoly Kovas, the owner of the famed Mad Wines in Hungary and winemaker Gabor Urban, to re-invent dry Furmint from Tokaj under the Mád Moser project. Their goal is to bring an exciting new interpretation of dry Furmint from one of the great, yet forgotten wine regions to the world’s attention. Their wines represent freshness, great complexity, and structure with unique individual character. Tokaj’s importance dates back to the early 16th Century, when it became a symbol of distinction amongst the upper classes and aristocracy in Europe. It was a luxury wine, associated with nobility but communism put an end to this. With its collapse in Hungary in 1989 local enthusiasm, a focus on quality focus, and plenty of foreign investment took hold in the Tokaj region, led by the likes of Vega Sicilia and Hugh Johnson, to restore its wines to their former glory – and to even vinify it to new heights! But today we look to a new era, led by Mád Moser to bring this ‘new’ grape to the world stage, and create a new attitude and category to the wine drinker … igniting the spark, creating the buzz and permitting the quality of dry Furmint to have its own momentum.
Production
The grapes were picked from the vineyards of the Mad Wine Winery, located around the village Mad. Soils are volcanic rocks and clay minerals from the South-Zemplén Mountains, primarily zolite and riolit.
Grapes are destemmed, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with lees contact until bottling.

2022 Equipo Navazos, La Bota No 119 Florpower MMXXII
Regular price £29.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Obscure yet delicious premium Spanish White!
Tasting Notes
This is the tenth vintage of Florpower (MMXXII, i.e., 2022), and released as La Bota 119 in the series. An unfortified white wine which follows vintage 2010 and 2012 (releases 44, 53 and 57) in origin and winemaking practices, and even more the 2014-2021 vintages (releases 67-114). With 2022 they continue to search for the point of balance and freshness, the perfect expression of the vineyard through the biological ageing process, which is now shorter than in the pioneering vintages.
Production
Exclusively from Palomino Fino sourced from vines aged between 55 and 85 years old in the blessed plot known as Pago Miraflores La Baja, Sanlúcar. In this vintage they have dispensed with tenuous ageing under flor in steel tanks after intense biological aging in traditional 600-litre Sherry casks. The wine is fermented in the same casks in which they later aged under flor for eight months until bottling at the end of May 2023.
Producers
Equipo Navazos was born out of a group of friend’s passion to share the authentic, traditional wines of Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Montilla … legitimately some of the greatest wines of the world!
These wines come from soleras and individual casks that remain, relatively neglected by the market in corners of many of Andalusia’s most prestigious bodegas. These unexpected yet fortunate findings have been made available to wine lovers around the world in limited quantities under the La Bota series (consecutively numbered editions, with the date of each saca or withdrawl date on the label) … in doing so respecting generations of expertise and care for these rare and beautiful wines. Today their efforts are increasingly focused on producing their own exceptional wines, such as Florpower, that truly express the character of Sanlúcar and its unique terroir. Outside of Andalusia, Equipo Navazos have collaborated with winemakers including Dirk Niepoort and Sergi Colet to develop authentic and individual wines that never fail to impress.

Tasting Notes
Lovely, opulent aromas of grapefruit and peach follow through to a lithe body, with loads of fruit as well as abundant melon and apple character and citrusy acidity.

Production
The winery has been fully fitted out with stainless steel, automatic temperature controlled tanks for fermenting and storing the wine. The primary vinification facility has been completely renewed with the best possible equipment for gently crushing, de stemming, pressing the grapes- in order to be able to maintain all the quality in the grapes. All of the grapes for this wine come from their own estate and are harvested early in the morning to avoid the heat which would otherwise cause the juice to become pink during fermentation.
The grapes were lightly crushed and then further cooled to 8°C before a gentle pressing in state of the art vacuum presses. Free run juice is separated from the heavier pressing and decanted into stainless steel temperature controlled tanks for 48 to 72 hours, until perfectly clarified. The clear juice is transferred to stainless steel fermenters and inoculate with selected yeast to begin fermentation which takes 3 weeks at 10°C. The wine is kept on fine lees until bottling.
