Tasting Notes
Deep ruby colour, with a slight purple hue. On the nose, it displays intense aromas of blackcurrant, violet and spices. On the palate, it offers lovely tension with crisp, clean acidity, wrapped in an elegant smoothness. This well-balanced wine is characterised by a lovely length on the palate

Production
Crafted by Château du Cèdre, this Malbec comes from sustainably farmed vineyards on the limestone terraces of Cahors. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, then destemmed and gently crushed before a cool maceration to capture vivid colour and fresh blueberry‑led aromatics. Fermentation takes place in temperature‑controlled stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by a short maturation in tank to maintain brightness and supple texture. The result is a modern, fruit‑forward expression of Cahors with lifted aromatics and a smooth, approachable structure.
Producer
Château du Cèdre is one of Cahors’ leading family estates, renowned for elevating Malbec to its most expressive and elegant form. Founded by the Verhaeghe family, the domaine farms its vineyards sustainably, focusing on biodiversity, low intervention and meticulous vineyard work to capture the purity of fruit and the character of Cahors’ limestone soils. Their wines balance depth and structure with freshness and finesse, earning a reputation as some of the region’s most refined and modern expressions of Malbec.

Bright, tangy and bursting with Marlborough freshness. Aromas of green apple, nettle, lemongrass and a touch of juniper lead into a medium‑bodied palate with sharp, lively acidity. A flinty, mineral edge adds tension and drive, finishing clean and refreshing.

Producer
Established in 1985, the Glover Family Vineyards have inspired the family’s
passion for wine. This family-owned Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
expresses the ethereal, aromatic, and structural flair of the Dillons Point
Sub-Region in Marlborough, New Zealand.
10 years after launching the wine brand Zephyr, Ben and his wife Susie have
transitioned 17Ha of the family vineyard to organic farming practices. By carrying the bio-bro certified organic logo - we are continuing Zephyr’s journey to express the true flavours of our family farm, while having an emphasis on wine growing through soil health, biodiversity, regenerative farming, and ultimately mindful consumption.
Production
Crafted from organically farmed vineyards in Marlborough’s Dillon’s Point, where cool coastal breezes and long sunshine hours shape intensely aromatic fruit. The grapes are harvested in the cool of night to preserve freshness, then gently pressed to protect purity and aromatics. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel using selected yeasts to enhance vibrancy, with a small portion matured on fine lees to add texture and subtle complexity. Casa Vinicola Botter was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter, a negociant selling to restaurants at the time and, is still a family run winery now in its third generation. During the 1950’s brothers Arnaldo and Enzo transformed the company, increasing its size and shifting to sales of their own bottles. Botter cooperates with the most qualified producers in Veneto, Apulia, Molise, Abruzzo and Sicily. A strong relationship that begins in the vineyards and goes through all the production cycles until the bottling. The focus is very much on innovation through environmentally friendly policies

2023 Pierre Chainier Muscadet
Regular price £11.79 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Entry-level Muscadet with good typicity; fresh and saline.
Tasting Notes
Delicate citrus and stone on the nose. The palate is bright and fresh, full of more citrus with a mineral streak and a hint of salinity.

Production
Sourced from a small number of growers in Muscadet with whom Francois Chainier has developed long-term relationships. The wine is blended by Francois to ensure a consistent style and quality for each vintage.
Producer
Formed in 1973, Pierre Chainier is both a négociant and the owner of some 250 hectares of vines in the heart of Touraine, from which it sources classic Loire varieties. Its eight Touraine estates include Domaine de la Bruyère in the newly established appellation of Touraine-Chenonceaux. Conversely, Clos de Nouys, its 25 acre Vouvray estate, is one of the oldest in the appellation. Here, vines average 35 years of age in vineyards that were already listed amongst the best sites on geological maps dating from 1907.
Sustainability
For both its négociant arm and its own vineyards, Pierre Chainier seamlessly blends the principles of reasoned agriculture with the most modern winemaking techniques. It encourages sustainable development and official certification for its growers, it uses sugar cane-derived biodegradable “corks”, and it has a comprehensive waste recycling programme. Lighting is changed to LED and they are currently calculating their carbon footprint.

2023 Umbrele, Chardonnay, Vilie Timisului, Romania
Regular price £11.79 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%A Romanian ray of light: crisp, juicy, Umbrele Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes
A wonderfully fresh and fruity Chardonnay with amazing fruit and power. Ripe and thick, with lots of mango and toasted oak--a Chardonnay showing all the attributes. There's a chewy buttery, intensely tropical side to this full-bodied wine.

Producer
Back in 1988, three families decided to invest in a winery in Romania, starting with 650 hectares of slightly unloved vineyards and a rusty, once state-owned winery.
Yet Englishman Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira, have turned the Cramele Recas Estate into the most successful winery in Romania. Recas are now recognised globally for their impressive scale and breadth of fascinating wines, including natural and orange wine from organic grapes. Despite the scale the emphasis is on making good wines that over-deliver, and as a result they’ve struck on a magic formula that has seen sales and demand boom. Vineyards are a combination of evolved plantings from 1447 and more recent planting, whilst the winery has seen significant investment and boasts state of the art facilities where innovation thrives. Recas are in every way a modern, dynamic winery, whose open minded approach and quality sets them apart … a winery you really can’t ignore.
Production
Grown on a variety of soils, from cracking clays to limestone rich loams. All vineyards are non-irrigated. Trained to vertical shoot positioned trellis with 2 to 4 canes per vine with replacement spurs. Inter vine soil management by cultivation. Yields from 5 to 15 tonnes per hectare. 90% mechanical harvested.
Grapes are night harvested to arrive cool at the winery. Destemmed, lightly crushed and then chilled to 5° C and transferred to stainless steel temperature controlled maceration tanks, for 24 hours. Following this the grapes were lightly pressed, and the juice was fully decanted at low temperatures until completely clear before being inoculated with selected yeast, and fermented for 3 weeks at 15° C. Half of the wine was then aged for 3 months in oak with lees stirring to generate depth and complexity before being blended with the unoaked portion and prepared for bottling.
Alan's Personal Tasting Note
"This is delish. Made by an Englishman in under invested Romania it’s got lovely, fresh, mango n apricot/peach fruits, balanced by a delicious fresh acidity. Great length and balance and although 50% of the blend is matured in barrel the oak in no way overpowers the fruit, it’s just in perfect balance with it. Long, beautiful & moreish, this will be a sure fire winner." MAY 2026

2025 Santa Tresa Rina Russa Frappato Terre Siciliane IGP
Regular price £13.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%If Frappato is Vittoria’s signature grape, then Rina Russa di Santa Tresa perfectly captures its essence. “Rina Russa” means “red sand” in Sicilian dialect. Rina Russa features the black figures found on ancient Greek vases, a tribute to the meeting of peoples and cultures.
Tasting Notes
Rina Russa genuinely has its own unique style, as the Frappato grapes come from ancient clones developed on our own estate. It has a very beautiful light cherry colour, with a fresh and vibrant bouquet, reminiscent of wild strawberries and a beautifully balanced palate, with silky smooth fruit, a real freshness running through it and a surprisingly long finish.

Harvest
The grapes are carefully picked by hand towards the end of September and are carefully put into small containers of 15kg.
Vinification
The grapes are chilled overnight in a refrigerated room to lower the temperature to 6-8°C, in order to preserve the particular qualities of the Frappato. After a very gentle destemming and crushing the grapes are fermented at a temperature of about 18-22°C for 10-12 days. The wine is separated from the skins and malolactic fermentation is allowed to take place naturally.
Ageing
After the malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine is kept on its fine lees for about 4-6 months in stainless steel tanks, with regular stirring, before bottling.

Producer
ALT. was created from a simple idea, that idea being, whatever someone’s reason for not drinking is, they should be able to have an equally delicious non-alcoholic alternative. In 2020, ALT. set out to create range of non-alcoholic, non-compromising sparkling wines, that would deliver both the flavour and the ritual of their alcoholic counterparts. For this reason, working with real ingredients from the start was important to them.

Rocco Pasetti's superbly sited, 50 hectare, estate lies in the heart of the Collecorvino district in the hills northwest of Pescara, recognised as one of the best vineyard zones in Abruzzo.
Surrounding the winery, the south-facing slopes of clay-chalk soils, at around 250m altitude, are ideal for the cultivation of Montepulciano, with Pecorino grown on the lower slopes. The cellar was completed in 2004 - carved into the hillside. Rocco's son, Franco Pasetti, is also a winemaker and now works alongside him at the estate.
The Contesa wines are impeccably-made expressions of Abruzzo's local grapes - modern and easy to drink, yet wines of real substance.

Contesa is certified by VIVA, a Sustainability programme promoted by the Italian Ministry of Environment. This uses four key indicators - Air, Water, Vineyard and Territory - to assess environmental and social impact based on life cycle assessment standards and ISO-compliant methodologies (eg. ISO 14067 for carbon footprint). This has been in place at Contesa since 2025 (prior to that Contesa was certified Sustainable according to SQNPI). Tasting Notes
Nuances of white bread, brioche and stewed apricot with generous fruit presence - and charm as well; considerable body, firm and open-hearted, very round and
juicy, smooth yellow fruitiness, tingling and balanced, not too sweet, very
beautiful filling.

Production
The grapes are selected in September, when acidity and maturity have reached
their perfect point for the base wine for our sparkling production. These grapes
are sourced from different chalky parcels in our vineyards which lends the wine
freshness and while most of the sites are southeast facing slopes, the wine also
receives warmth. The harvested grapes are transported in small cases directly into
the cellar, where they are very gently and carefully pressed.
Only the heart of the must is used for the sparkling production. It ferments in
stainless steel where it also undergoes malolactic fermentation before being
racked into used 300 l (or 2500 l) Austrian oak barrels with about 10% of the
lees.
In the following year, the base wine is bottled together with some sugar and yeast
for the secondary fermentation and gets 18 months yeast contact before the
process of remuage. During the month-long process of remuage the sediment
that forms during secondary fermentation is maneuvered into the neck of the
bottle and up against the cork through riddling from time to time by hand.
Producer
Willi Bründlmayer attaches great importance to the ecological balance:
When he took over his parents’ winery, he introduced a policy of ecological winegrowing. Synthetic fertilizers are waived since 1979. Our vineyards are cultivated sustainably, following the Austrian Programme of Sustainable Agriculture and since 2015 in a biological-organic way, certified by LACON. The management of natural resources – soil, sun, water and plants – follows simple and sensible procedures. For instance, pheromones are applied throughout all important sites of the winery in order to disrupt the mating habits of the dangerous grape vine moth. This means that no additional plant protection agents need to be used against the insect. When old vineyards are cleared, the fields are left fallow, for several years if necessary, so that the soil can recover fully.

Intense ruby red turning to garnet with ageing. Bouquet is spicy with hints of cherry, black cherry and plum compote. fine and velvety palate, persistent, with soft tannins at the end.

Production
The soil for this wine vary considerably, adding to the complexity of the wine. Brown and red soil on silts, loam rocks formed from the Cretaceous period, compact red soil on basalt and compact red soil on Eocene limestone. Each valley gives different qualities to the wine, although there is always a high calcareous concentration, with lots of big stones in the first half metre of the ground.
Ripe and healthy grapes are selected at the time of the hand picking. The thinnest bunches are chosen, with the berries not too close one to another, so that the air can circulate. The grapes are laid out in large perforated plastic boxes, to ensure excellent ventilation. The boxes are stacked in the fruttaio, a large airy room and the grapes are periodically monitored so that the Appassimento process takes place. A selection of the grapes are slightly wilted before the soft pressing. The wine is then aged partly in steel tanks and partly in Tonneaux.
Producer
The Biscardo Family have been making wine from their base in Soave for over 150 years and are currently led by brothers Maurizio and Martino.
During the course of Maurizio's long and illustrious career, he has consulted for well known wineries around Italy and in doing so he came across the vineyards for their Puglian wines. The vineyards are located on a mixture of clay, sand and silt on East facing slopes. Cultivated with the Guyot system, average production is never more than 100 quintals per hectare.
The fermentation lasts 15 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 13-14° C. The ageing of the wine is quite lengthy, leaving the wine to rest on the fine lees for about five months in stainless steel tanks.
Both the Pugliese and Veneto wines are characterised by an irresistible drinkability, aromatic purity and exceptional value for money.

2024 Domaine Papagiannakos Savatiano Old Vines
Regular price £19.69 Sale price £15.75 Save 20%Classic expression of the indigenous Savatiano grape from vineyards just outside Athens.
Tasting Notes
Rich and peachy on the nose with floral aromas, leading onto a broad peachy palate with lemon and herbal characters. The wine is textural with a crisp, citrus-tinged, and lightly saline finish. This is much more than a simple refreshing white wine, it is refreshing but it also has wonderful texture, complexity and good length. With its rich peachy floral character, the nose is reminiscent of a good Viognier whilst the texture and depth on the palate are similar to an old vine Semillon.

P
Production Method
The Savatiano grape is well-adapted to the Attican climate, and is widely cultivated here. The grapes for this wine are sourced from 7 blocks of 50 year old, low-yielding, unirrigated Savatiano vines in Markopoulo. They grow in limestone soil, on gentle north-facing slopes, at just 100m altitude. The grapes are hand-harvested in mid-September, then undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 17˚C for around 20 days.
Producer
Domaine Papagiannakos was established in 1919 in the heart of the plain of Mesogaia, Attica - just 30km from the shadow of the Acropolis. Third generation winemaker, Vassilis Papagiannakos, was born and bred in Markopoulo, and grew up around the family winery. At that time the Savatiano variety was the winery's sole focus - but later Malagouzia was introduced, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other varieties. Vassilis owns 10 hectares of vineyard in the Attica region, and maintains long-term leases on a further 20 hectares, with vines on average 50-60 years old. Rocky, sandy, clay topsoil nurtures low yielding bush vines - extremely limited irrigation is employed. The Papagiannakos family continues its traditions whilst bringing the winery into the 21st Century with a stunning and innovative bioclimatic winery.
Sustainability
In 2007 their state of the art bioclimatic winery was completed which saves energy in the wine-making process and is built to allow gravity to move wine from one part to another. They have moved to lighter weight bottles, use electric vehicles on the domaine and are taking steps to reduce their CO2 output as much as possible over the years to come. The pine used for their Retsina has been sourced from the same resion collector for many years and comes from forests located just 15 minutes drive from the domaine.
Alan's Personal Tasting Note
"This is lovely. Mid weight, stone fruit, some minerality and salinity, but it’s the delicious creamy texture that excites and satisfies me. There is either some lees stirring involved or some time in oak, but the result is an amazing textural experience which delivers length and flavour to the aftertaste. All in all, a delicious, perfectly balanced white with interesting flavours - but that texture, YUM!" APRIL 2026

2024 Thistledown, Sands of Time Single Vineyard Old Vine Grenache
Regular price £49.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Sourced from a single 75-year-old vineyard, the bush-trained vines rooted in pure sand produce a wine of remarkable purity and power, offering a rare balance of lightness and intensity. Achingly beautiful yet irresistibly drinkable, it captivates from the first sip.
Tasting Notes
Highly aromatic with notes of sandalwood, dried orange, violets and wood spice on the nose, it follows through to a palate that is paradoxically elegant and vibrant but concentrated and persistent. Silky smooth with a glossy, highly attractive palate of wild strawberry, violets and the merest hint of cinnamon and woodsmoke.

Production
Early on in their Grenache journey, the Thistledown team were introduced to Sue Trott’s Home Block in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. Its beautiful aspect, raised elevation and free-draining deep sandy soils are the perfect spot for old dry-grown bush-vine Grenache and they feel so lucky to be offered the opportunity to purchase a little fruit. Some years on and they have learned a little about the site and refined their picking decisions and vinification to the extent that from 2017 they were content that they could do the site justice by bottling separately. Sourced from one vineyard, planted in 1952, with bush trained vines on pure sand yielding a wine of immense purity and power that is both light and intense at the same time. This wine carries the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia Trust Mark. Fruit was handpicked on 'on the way up'. They vinify naturally in concrete pyramid and place whole bunches alternately with de-stemmed fruit to create a layer cake. 33% whole bunch. A very gentle, slow fermentation is followed by maturation in oak and concrete before a careful selection is done, which is then bottled unfined and unfiltered 10 months later.
Producer
Thistledown was founded by Master of Wine, Giles Cooke who had a vision for a more elegant, textural interpretation of Australian wine.
Initial explorations resulted in access to many of the best vineyards, many of which were the previously unloved Old Vine Grenache. Incredible, historic fruit sources coupled with Giles’ increasingly adept efforts has quickly resulted in a reputation for being amongst the best in the country. Tasting Notes
A deliciously vibrant style of Barossa Shiraz with succulent raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, hints of spice and elegant, glossy texture.

Production
Joel Mattschoss' Eden Valley vineyard provides the majority of the fruit. This spectacular vineyard is planted on some of the most difficult, meagre soils of any we have seen. Littered with boulders composed of ironstone and pink quartz, it is a truly challenging site. Vineyards are trellised, cordon trained and spur pruned. This wine is all about great fruit, picked at the right time. Frequent vineyard walks determines exactly the right time, the fruit full of energy. Wild fermented, using some whole bunch inclusion play their role in ensuring that this wine is full of bright, fleshy fruit with great texture and spice. Aged in French oak for 6 to 8 months prior to bottling.

Regular price £19.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Where Mountain Meets Vine – A Bold Balkan Beauty!
Tasting Notes
The wine has an attractive, dark garnet colour. Intense aromas reveal a magnificent bouquet consist of plum, red cherry, forest fruits, milk chocolate and vanilla. The palate is dense, round with a distinctive silkiness indicating the perfect balance between ripe fruit and oak tannins. Superb softness and long-lasting end completed this remarkable wine.

Production
The grapes are hand-picked, then carefully selected on sorting tables. Cold maceration of whole berries is performed from 5 to 8 days at 16C. Alcohol fermentation with addition of selected yeast strains is controlled at 26-28C during 8-10 days, in order to reach 3-4 g/l residual sugar, followed by maceration from 5 to 8 days in concrete thermoregulated tanks. Malolactic fermentation continues in tanks, then ageing for about 12 months in oak barrels.
Producer
Count Stephan von Neipperg, owner of several famous Bordeaux properties including Châteaux Canon La Gaffelière and La Mondotte, deliberately sought out Bulgaria’s Bessa Valley, where the wonderful clay-limestone soils displayed the potential to make great wines.
In the shadow of the dramatic Rhodope Mountains, these soils provide the structure, strength and minerality that enable Stephan to create wonderful wines, full of power and elegance.
Bessa Valley is located on the hills between the Rhodope Mountains and Maritsa River. The climate is continental – hot summer and cold winter. The terroir is influenced by the river and the mountain. Rainfalls are at usual level. The soil in the Valley is loamy and clay-stony, mixed with limestone. The limestone rock is half a meter under the soil layer. 140 Hectares of vines are planted with Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

2023 Château Ka Source Blanche, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
Regular price £22.59 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Château Ka is the only winery in Lebanon to produce wine entirely from its own vineyards. Akram creates both rich, concentrated reds and beautifully fresh, fruity and crisp whites that rank among the finest in the country.
Tasting Notes
This unusual blend of grape varieties creates this exceptionally satisfying wine. Floral and citrusy with great depth of character.

Production
The vineyard is located at 1000m above sea level at the Eastern end of the Bekaa valley. There is very little annual rainfall so drip irrigation is used as necessary. The vineyard was planted in 2006/2010 with all harvesting done by hand in the cool of the morning into 20KG boxes. Upon reception grapes are destemmed and crushed, then pressed in a pneumatic press. Fermentation is carried out at 18 degrees. The wine is then stored on lees in stainless steel vats. Filtered and bottled.
Producer
Behind Château Ka is an extraordinary story of determination and resolve.
Akram Kassatly built his winery in the Bekaa Valley in 1973, but shortly after the first wines were made, Lebanon was engulfed by war. The winery was subsequently forced to close and Akram turned his attention to other businesses, but in 2005 he resolved to try again. Today, Château Ka is the only winery in Lebanon to produce wine entirely from its own vineyards. Akram creates both rich, concentrated reds and beautifully fresh, fruity and crisp whites that rank among the finest in the country.

Regular price £10.69 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%From Vineyard to Glass – A Story of Greek Craft and Clarity
Tasting Notes
A lovely light but expressive white wine. Citrus notes, peat and a hint of quince. Lovely acidity and some minerality on the finish.

Production Method
The estate now follows environmentally conscious philosophies, aimed at a low-interventionist approach to obtain the best quality of grapes while preserving soil fertility. Organically cultivated vines in Bidablas for the Xinomavro, Roditis, Sauvignon Blanc and and in Filyria for Assyrtiko. Roditis, Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtiko are gently pressed and let to ferment in separate vats at low temperatures. Xinomavro is pressed and immediately separated from the skins, and then left to ferment at low temperatures. Following the alcoholic fermentation, the wines are blended together, with the final wine remaining in contact with the lees for 3 months before being bottled.
Producer
Founded in 1994 by Vagelis Chatzivaritis, the Chatzivaritis Estate is located in the heart of Goumenissa, Macedonia.
The property spans 20ha of organically farmed vineyards across the regions of Bindabla, Filyria, Plagia, Pentalofos and Griva, cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Xinomavro, Negoska, Roditis, Malagousia, Muscat and Assyrtiko, along with small plots of international varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2017, Vagelis’ daughter, Chloi, returned to Greece after completing winemaking studies in France and Portugal. She brought with her a modern, low-intervention philosophy along with less familiar winemaking techniques such as pétillant naturel (‘pét nat’) and carbonic maceration.

2024 Vignerons de Florensac Sparkling Pique & Mixe Piquepoul Terret
Regular price £13.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Fresh, elegant and effortlessly French fizz which offers a sea-breeze sparkle with southern soul.
Tasting Notes
Pale yellow in colour. Fine, abundant bubbles, forming a delicate mousse. A fresh and clean nose, revealing notes of grapefruit, lemon, and white-fleshed fruits. Taut, fresh, and elegant on the palate, supported by the fine mouth filling mousse.

Producer
The Florensac terroir is one of the oldest planted vineyards on the Mediterranean coast and unusually for the South of France, it specialises in producing white wines that rely on cooling sea breezes to moderate the summer heat.
The vineyards are on high ground consisting of clay and limestone soils and the vines are harvested at night to preserve the aromas and freshness of the fruit. Once fermented, the wine is aged on fine lees with regular stirring to bring out its characteristic richness and roundness.
Production
Grown on high ground in vineyards that are planted on clay and limestone soils, with sustainable agricultural practices rather than chemical intervention is at the heart of everything the Vignerons de Florensac do. Day time temperatures can be harsh, so a machine harvest is carried out at night to avoid any oxidation of the grapes and to keep them cool. An eco-friendly producer, Oenologist Roques Stephane employs green techniques to control pests in the vineyard, and the Vignerons de Florensac reduce carbon emissions by drawing energy from their vast bank of solar panels. These are used to power the refrigeration units required to keep the grapes and juice cool for maceration and fermentation. After maceration the grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press, and the juice fermented in stainless steel at low temperatures using cultured yeasts.

Tasting Notes
A delicately pink Crémant de Limoux with bright fruit and integrated bubbles. The nose opens up to a bouquet of red summer berries and cherry blossom, which follows through on the palate, finishing with juicy strawberry fruit and clean acidity.

Producer
For over five centuries, Maison Antech has tamed the magical terroir of Limoux to make fine sparkling wines.
The secret of their character lies in the combination of Limoux's three terroirs, which form the backbone of the cuvées: freshness from the Pyrenees, vinousness from the ocean, and roundness from the Mediterranean. From these terroirs, Mauzac and other grapes are cultivated, each bringing their own complexity and purity to the wines. This Cuvee, named after Francoise, daughter of the family and a member of the sixth generation celebrates her strong character and the part she plays in guarding her heritage and shaping their future.
Production
Antech produce high-quality, authentic sparkling wines under the sustainability philosophy of Terra Vitis since 2013. Adopting the most sympathetic approach to viticulture, they also work to recover any waste, reduce energy consumption and work with like-minded sustainable suppliers across all aspects of production. Exclusively hand-harvested grapes are immediately pressed and the finest juice is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. After blending and second fermentation, the wine is stored sur lattes for 18 months to develop additional complexity and character.

2021 Keith Tulloch The Kester Shiraz, Hunter Valley
Regular price £31.49 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Keith's homage to his forbears who planted the Hunter Valley. Entirely sourced from blocks over 100 year.
Tasting Notes
Heady aromas of jaffa and orange blossom over deeper concentrated blackcurrant, cola, anise and blackberry. Lifted hints of juniper and crushed herb build as the wine breathes. Black-fruits dominate the palate with lashings of inky dense, muscular blackcurrant and black-cherry, over a liquorice-like sweetness balancing rich dark chocolate dryness and a black-olivine savouriness. This foundation is firmly bonded and taut, lasting, with all parts contributing an iron-clad assertion. Exotic expression with luxuriant waves of fine oak delivering fume` spices and subtle roast-coffee-like extract.

Production
The history of Tulloch in Pokolbin began in the late 1880s when JY Tulloch (Keiths Great-Grandfather) married Florence Kester. Keith is the second Keith Tulloch winemaker, the first being his great Uncle, Keith Kester Tulloch. This Shiraz has been deeply influenced by Keithy's love of the Rhône, in particular the great Hermitages of Jaboulet (where he worked the vintage in 1996 and revisited in 2003). Winemaking has been adapted to gain more fruit power and greater overall wine personality, resulting in a profusion of powerful flavours and aromas. After vintage experience with Paul Jaboulet in the Rhône Valley (France), and having been able to observe the making of “La Chapelle” close-hand, this winemaking incorporates similar Rhône Valley techniques for flavour complexity and palate length. Sourced from old dry-farmed Hunter Valley vineyards, the grapes are fermented with a trace of Viognier in open vats for 4 weeks, with plunging by hand. It is matured for 20 months in a mixture of fine French oak barriques to impart a fine, velvety oak support.
Producer
“I cannot remember being more impressed with an initial release of wines than those”, said James Halliday when he first tasted Keith Tulloch’s wines.
These thoughtful, hand-crafted wines hail from the Hunter Valley with a nod in part to the great Rhône Valley wines of Hermitage and Cote Rôtie. For those who may have tasted any legendary Hunter Shiraz wines of the 40s, 50s and 60s, tasting many of the modern Hunter wines can be a depressing experience but Keith Tulloch is very different, adding to that great legacy with a series of wines that uniquely capture the exotic spice and hedonistic pleasure of dense and rich Shiraz fruit. These are sensuous, subtle wines with the velvety texture of fine burgundy.
Sustainability
Keith Tulloch have attained the CLIMATE ACTIVE certification by the Australian Government. This means that the winery, vineyard and offices are certified carbon neutral as well as its wines (including glassware, boxes, shipping, bottling). This carbon neutral certification is one of the most rigorous in the world. Every emission created by the vineyard and the winemaking process has been reduced where possible; and where emissions are unavoidable the pollutants have been offset through carbon abatement so that the business and its products have zero net greenhouse gas emissions. Keith Tulloch is also a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (previously known as Entwine) which requires wineries to report and reduce waste whilst promoting sustainable practices. A 65kw solar array has been installed, providing the vast majority of the estate’s power needs.
Keith Tulloch winery and vineyards are also officially sustainable under the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification which was developed by the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI).
In the vineyard Keith Tulloch engages in regenerative agriculture, minimising the use of chemical sprays and actively promoting soil health, life and biodiversity. It has started a program of revitalising native vegetation around the vineyard, which creates habitat for native insects, birds and animals which benefit the vineyard ecosystem. The business has eliminated single-use plastics and has instead moved onto biodegradable alternatives to prevent plastic waste. All Keith Tulloch wines have moved from heavy glass to lightweight eco glass, which considerably reduces greenhouse gas emissions from glass production and transport. The winery has enacted an array of water efficiency measures to eliminate water waste and to recycle waste water for use in the parks and gardens. The vineyard is now composted and fertilised only by organic fertiliser, re-using a product that would otherwise go to waste and reducing soil degradation and emissions from synthetic fertilisers.
The estate continues to uphold organic viticulture principles in the vineyard, and this is improving year-on-year. Investments in agricultural equipment in the next financial year will further reduce the use of some chemical sprays, however there is no plan at this point to certify these practices.

It is this deep and fine alluvial sandiness that makes the vineyard resource so significant – the vines consistently produce the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon. The Semillon was harvested then crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Fermentation occurred using a selected pure yeast culture in stainless steel tanks, at cool to cold temperatures to maximise and retain varietal freshness.

2023 Keith Tulloch Chardonnay, Hunter Valley
Regular price £19.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Tight, bright, focused Chardonnay from Keith Tulloch.
Tasting Notes
Fruit from outstanding Hunter vineyards give this wine brightness of aroma and excellent length of flavour. It starts with a saline nose, slightly grassy, positive reduction, and struck match. Chardonnay signatures remain paramount revealing elements of nectarine, honeydew, and pineapple, all giving crisp energetic line and length. Fine vanilla oak-spices sit beautifully in the background, and sur-lees creaminess, adding beautiful personality and harmony in equal measure.ine vanilla oak-spices sit beautifully in the background, and sur-lees creaminess, adding beautiful personality and harmony in equal measure.

Production
The Hunter Chardonnay vineyard was planted over 20 years ago and is sited immediately adjacent to the Semillon block – so there is a clear link with regard to the low vine yield, the fine fruit presence, finesse, elegant structure and fresh acid balance. This Hunter Valley Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented and matured in a mix of new and young deluxe French oak barriques for six months, contributing harmony from start to finish. Malo-ferment is minimised to retain the natural vibrant and racy acid balance and freshness. Elegant bright fruit needs elegant oak handling as well, so lightly-toasted barrels of fine-grained French oak are used. The unclarified wine is left on lees in barrel for only 3 months so that it remains subdued and subtle, preserving the fruit freshness and the maximizing its potential for cellaring.

Producer
Our winemaking team have been building realationships across Chile over the past two decades, sourcing fruit and wine from across the Central Valleys. We work with a number of small family growers who pay particular attention to quality and ensure that our winemaking team has the best possible fruit to work with . Freshness and purity are the preferred hallmarks of Boutinot's Chilean wines.
Each vintage Boutinot winemaker Guillaume Letang travels the vineyards of our grower partners, blending that year's truest expression's of Chile's unique terroirs.
Production
We source our Cabernet fruit from the Colchagua Valley which sits in the middle of Chile’s main central valley. Colchagua is widely regarded as one of the best locations for red varieties in Chile and many illustrious wineries are based here. The warm, Mediterranean type climate suits Cabernet really well, allowing it to ripen fully, late into the season. A cool short fermentation to preserve fruit aroma and maceration on the skins for only a few days to extract nice colour but minimal tannins. No oak is used. Early bottling to keep the wine's youthful style. We love the pure, blackcurrant characteristics which are always so present in our Cabernet blend.

2024 Pasquiers Sauvignon Rolle, IGP Pays d’Oc
Regular price £9.99 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 117): Computation results in '-Infinity'%A wonderful and innovative blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Rolle (otherwise known as Vermentino) from southern France.
Tasting Notes
A deliciously refreshing change from straight Sauvignon Blanc. Luscious exotic fruit aromas from the Rolle are balanced by the clean, zingy fruit of Sauvignon, resulting in a wonderfully aromatic smooth dry white.

Production Method
For this wine two parcels of Sauvignon Blanc and Rolle (the traditional French name for Vermentino) were selected from the sun-drenched vineyards of southern France. Their position, on alluvial sand and silt, encourages the vines to root deep into the soil, finding the water they need to sustain them during the long, hot summers. Each plot is harvested in the cooler early mornings and the Sauvignon Blanc is always harvested a few weeks before the later ripening Rolle. Both varieties then undergo cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by gentle pressing and alcoholic fermentation on fine lees (at a temperature of 16-18°C) to bring out the creamy texture of the Rolle, which perfectly balances the freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc.
Producer
Like all good stories, that of Boutinot France is both long and a little bit complicated! Boutinot began as a tiny importer in 1980, specialising in French wines. Paul Boutinot himself began by personally selecting the wines from France, back in the UK he would unload the trailer by hand, and deliver the crates of wines to customers himself. But good things grow and by the end of the decade we had become a bigger and better company. A company that not only sought out great wines but made them too. Ten years later, Boutinot France was founded in January 1990. The first office was in the middle of the vines in Julienas; perfectly located to navigate the Beaujolais and Mâcon regions on the quest to make beautiful wines. Samantha Bailey, who started as a wine enthusiast, was there at the beginning of this adventure. Since then, she has grown into our Master Blender and has key responsibilities: building long-standing relationships, tasting, understanding the terroir and appellations, and pushing the boundaries. She is at the heart of the whole process from blending to quality assessment, making sure there is always a Boutinot touch in every cuvée. We are proud to also count Guillaume Letang and Nicolas Rager in our winemaking team. Guillaume oversees the South of France and Languedoc, whilst Nicolas looks after our property in Cairanne. Together they have the local knowledge to select and blend the very best wines from throughout. Eric Monnin oversees every aspect of production and makes sure everything our winemakers blend and source is top quality. Today, Boutinot’s French office is located in Mâcon, and has over 20 employees who take care of production across the whole of France, covering fresh whites and rosés from Gascony, mineral wines from Burgundy, and joyful varietal wines from Languedoc among others. We don’t use any single model to source our wines; instead, a combination of sources are used, from large-scale, high-quality co-ops to small, family growers and single domaines, as well as our own vineyards in Cairanne. Drawing on the expertise of our winemakers and a network of partner growers, we seek to deliver the highest quality-to-price ratio possible for every wine.
Alan's Personal Tasting Note
"On first opening I wasn’t that impressed by this. Fresh, dry n crisp make it adequate, but I thought it lacked a bit of character and seemed a bit dilute. However, with a bit of food and oxidation it came to life and developed more weight, riper fruit and a lovely creamy complexity. This is what I was expecting from the later ripening Rolle ( Vermentino). This definitely gives it an edge, one of these wines that just needs a wee bit of time to show it’s best." August 2025

Tasting Notes
Attractive mixed berry aromas with spice notes. Vibrant plum and black cherry on the palate with liquorice hints, elegant tannins, and finely poised acidity. A medium-bodied, vibrant and characterful glass of red.

Production
The grapes are vinified without being totally destemmed, and macerated for 5 days in cold temperatures. The fermentation lasts around 6 days. Produced from a blend of traditional local grapes. Fermentation in stainless steel. The careful selection and blending of varieties ensures an approachable but complex style and the relatively short time on skins in fermentation creates gentle tannins leading to this wonderfully drinkable profile.

One of Portugal's largest and most progressive producers with 600 hectares spread across estates in five regions from Douro in the north to Alentejo in the south. Belice Agrigento – mid-way across Sicily on the southern coast.
The grapes are picked by hand in mid September and are carefully selected.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed, soft pressed using a pneumatic press, then left in contact with the skins for about 12 hours at 10°C for optimum extraction of the aromas. Fermentation takes place at about 14-16°C. We do not do malolactic fermentation in order to retain all the natural acidity of the wine. We then leave the wine on its fine lees at a constant temperature of 16°C until the end of January. Prior to bottling at the end of February/beginning of March, we do a very gentle filtration.
