2022 Castel del Monte Bombino Nero DOCG Pungirosa

Tasting Notes

Colour

In the glass, it has a beautiful onion skin pink colour, with slight purple highlights.

Nose

On the nose, it surprises with its delicate bouquet, with notes of dog rose and cherry, orange blossom, wild strawberries

Palate

In the mouth, however, it is decidedly fresh and soft, with a perfect balance between fruit and acidity. The finish, particularly long, reveals a nice mineral vein. 

Production

Pungirosa is the result of a short maceration of the skins at low temperature. The process lasts just long enough to extract that delicate hint of colour, as well as the more delicate aromatic substances.
